Bernard Arnault is one of the world's most extravagant individuals, with a total assets of more than $100 billion. However, he had a difficult road to success, and his story is frequently referred to as a "rags-to-riches" story.

Arnault was born on March 5, 1949, in the northern French town of Roubaix. He grew up in a middle-class family. His mother was a homemaker, and his father was a manufacturer of building materials. Arnault was the oldest of five kids and showed an early interest in business.

Arnault spent his childhood watching his father construct bridges and houses as part of the family construction business. Arnault, on the other hand, was more interested in the business aspect of things and was aware that he desired to work in business.
